In 2004, Veronica Perrin, a work-at-home mom of two (by the way, she also works 2 part-time jobs outside of the home when her kids are at school!) from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, wanted to turn her sewing hobby into something more. Therefore, she opened up her Etsy shop, Moms Crafts 4 U! By 2007, she began including items such as cloth pads.

Veronica sells a variety of eco-friendly products, from those cloth mama pads and nursing pads to "Keypers" and wet bags.

In addition to her shop Moms Crafts 4 U, Veronica also runs 3 others! What a busy, hard-working lady!

Veronica sent me two regular 8" cloth pads to review. I received the hand dyed hot pink organic bamboo velour cloth mama pad maxi with wings and the pink cupcakes cloth mama pad.

The first thing I checked was the sewing. It was securely stitched with a baby lock machine, so it should definitely last a long time! The snaps also were securely attached. I tried yanking them and they stayed put! Oh, and I appreciate the tag that says "2." It indicates it a regular as opposed to heavy or light.

There is a regular stitch going over the top of each pad. This is a quilting technique that is sure to make the inside layers stay put.

The backs of the pads are made of fleece which did well to keep them from slipping and sliding.

This is a big deal in my mind! They can fold together and snap to be compact, which is great for storage or for stashing in your purse for on the go.

Without getting into too much detail, the pads worked very well! They were soft, comfy, and easy to use. They were also very easy to clean. After use, I rinsed them off then tossed them in the diaper pail with my son's used diapers. Then I washed and dried them (without fabric softener). They came out clean and clean-smelling. The pink pad had no staining and the cupcake one had a little, but it was very light. And, personally, I don't care that it got a little stained, considering what it's used for! It's still fun and cute!

At a mere $5.50 to $8.50 (depending on size, she also sells packages where you can get them for less), Veronica's pads are also a very frugal buy!
