Time's Up!
Congratulations to Commenter #47,

While visiting family in Sweden, Kaisa Levine's 6-week-old son caught a severe cold that made him so congested he couldn't eat, sleep, or breathe through his nose. As a result, she and her husband took the wee one to a pediatrician. There, the doctor was confused as to why they weren't using a NoseFrida, which, apparently, was a common item in every Swedish home with wee ones. Well, obviously, the answer was that they'd never heard of one! Thus, Kaisa's husband immediately went to the local pharmacy to buy one.
Impressed with how well the NoseFrida worked to clear her son's nose, Kaisa brought the NoseFrida home to America with her and began NoseFrida USA to sell this clever invention to families in the states.
Later, she was joined by her partner Sarah. Together, these two moms have carved their mark on the snot sucking world!

Discover It
NoseFrida sent us one snotsucker to test run.
I have to admit that when I first considered this little mechanism, I thought quite simple "Ew." First of all, "snot SUCKER?" How gross! I don't want to suck my baby's snot! But as I investigated further, I discovered that there are little, blue, foam-like filters called "snot blockers." These filters not only keep the snot from sucking up into your mouth, but they also keep germs from getting into you too!
The concept is simple and quite genius, actually. You use the power of your lungs to suction snot out of your baby's nose.
When I received the snot -sucker, the Little Mister was teething. So, his nose was profusely runny. Which made me feel really bad for the little guy! I mean, he can't blow his nose! Typically, I'll squirt some saline solution up his nose then suck the snot out with a bulb syringe. But the bulb syringe, although it does eventually get the job done, takes a long time and multiple suctions to get most of the snot out. I have to do it over and over until it's clear enough I can hear him breathe. And he HATES that bulb syringe. He screams just upon seeing it.
Enter the NoseFrida. The Little Mister still had issues when he saw it coming towards his face, but I noticed immediately the very first time I used it that it sucked out a LOT more snot with just one, um, inhalation on my part than the bulb syringe did after several sucks.
The container where the snot sucks into is clear. So you can see it working (as gross as that sounds).
And it's a cinch to clean, you just use baby bottle brushes.
