Cutey Baby Cloth Diaper Review and Giveaway {Closed}

Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned for free as a thank you for writing this post. Regardless, all opinions expressed are completely my own.

From her basement, Ada Vaughan began sewing prototype cloth diapers and designing unique children's wall decals. In May 2009, she had an innovative diaper design that she decided to start selling. The result was CuteyBaby. Her motivation for starting CuteyBaby was the desire to start a baby-focused business that would delight moms and their babies with neat designs and useful products. Simply put, Ada was excited to introduce washable diapers to many moms and to be helping the planet along the way.

CuteyBaby is a giving business! They have donated many products to Children of the Promise, a Haitian orphanage, and to Africa. They have also donated to various charities that help children including auctions and events.

Discover It

Ada sent us a CuteyBaby "That's a Wrap!" washable/flushable diapering system which included a matching wet bag and a roll of biodegradable, flushable liners; and a Modern Cloth Diaper.
The first item I reviewed was the "That's a Wrap Diaper!" Here's how the exterior looks. Too cute!
The first thing I noticed was the closure. This diaper has hook and loop-like closure. The hook part can attach to the fabric itself, which I found to be very clever and convenient–especially for tinier waists.
The stitching on the diaper is straight and very secure, ensuring that it will last a long time.
The insert inside the diaper is technically two inserts that are sewn together at the end. This is nice because the inserts are securely together, but because they're not completely sewn together they are cleaned more thoroughly in the wash and dry faster.
And the double insert is attached in the back so that it's kind-of a tongue-style insert. I really appreciate this because it means I don't have to search for the insert and match it up with its diaper after washing.
There is a uniquely-shaped hole in the center of the diaper to stuff the double insert inside. I love this because, with ordinary pocket-style diapers, the Little Mister will pull his inserts out. However, with this one, he can't!
This diaper comes with 100% viscose liner sheets called "Keep it Clean!" These sheets are biodegradable and flushable.
The liners come apart via perforations. Each one is just the right length for the cloth diaper.
You simply lay the liner across the inside of the diaper prior to putting it on baby's bum. I LOVE and ADORE these liners. They caught the solids and since they're flushable, they take out most of the gross work with spraying off the solids. They are AWESOME! And they work with every cloth diaper we have. My husband loves them too!
Then of course there's the matching wet bag. The wet bag has a loop to hang it up, it has a super cute zipper pull featuring the CuteyBaby's flower, and it zips up. It is absolutely perfect for travel. I have used the wet bags with pull strings before and they're NO FUN. They often come loose and there's enough of a gap that it released odors. But with this wet bag, all odors and dirty diapers are kept inside thanks to the zipper.
Next up is the Modern Diaper. The one we received has cute little green fishy-like characters.
One feature I found really awesome was the snap on each closure. When snapped, it makes the waist smaller.
Another unique feature is the removable hook closure. Just remove it prior to washing (I keep it on top of the washer) to prevent wear and tear on the closures. This also keeps it from snagging other diapers in the wash. It's a unique alternative to the laundry tabs that many hook and look cloth diapers have.
Just as with the other CuteyBaby diaper, the Modern diaper has a double tongue-style insert. This diaper also had the unique center opening (just as the other one has) that helps to keep messes inside the diaper.
Both diapers fit the Little Mister nicely. And they looked SO cute!
Both diapers survived #1, #2, lots of play time, and long naps–with no leaks! And the flushable liners were such a blessing!

I’m a cloth diapering momma; but I had never seen those liners before! Oh I think I am in love with those! I didn’t know they were so easy to use, nor that they were flushable!
I also learned that they have a product tester program. Love that!

  2. Julie G says

I like the trains and cars print and the solid lime color! I also learned that they have an AIO diaper that looks great also!

  3. Mary Michaud says

I learned that in a test their staff did, Cutey Baby was one of the diapers able to absorb more liquid, 12 oz instead of the 6 oz some diapers did.

  4. Anne Loyd says

I love the Modern Cloth Diaper in pink polka dot and I learned that they have these diapers at Costco!  How awesome is that to see that cloth has found it’s way to a mainstream store!

  5. Raquel B says

I learned that they sell at grocery stores like Meijer in some places! So cool! (Not that I have any close to me, but hey…) I love the Olive Hawaiian print and Nantucket stripe!

  6. Marion Scharf says

I learned that they have donated diapers to a charity called Children of the Promise in Haiti. Great job! The pictures of the kids in your diapers are so cute.
