Katie Garner began selling her unique homemade cloth diapers in 2008. Having three children under the age of five, she soon discovered that she was unable to keep up with both cloth diaper sales and family. Therefore, she began the process to obtain a patent for her one-of-a-kind design and prepared to transition to manufacturing her diapers. In January, 2010, Katie launched Katydid–her first manufacturered cloth diaper business. One year later, in January 2011, she made a slight improvement to the elastic in the diapers and changed the business's name to Oh Katy.

Oh Katys have a unique, patented design and are coveted for their front-opening pocket, newborn hip snaps, and wrap and snap feature.

Today, Katie still runs her business from home alongside her four children ages 7, 5, 3, and 1–plus she's expecting their fifth child this spring!

Katie sent us a Chocolate-colored Oh Katy cloth diaper to review (I selected the brown because my husband said I was going overboard with blue things for our sons!) The Oh Katy diaper's exterior is constructed of crinkle-free, waterproof TPU.

It has two columns of rise snaps and three rise settings–small, medium, and large–to grow with your child.

The Oh Katy has two overlap snaps, making it possible to make the waist very small for newborn or skinny babies.

Also for newborn babies, the Oh Katy features unique newborn hip snaps that prevent "wing droop."

The interior of the diaper is constructed of super soft microfleece (my favorite material for a diaper's interior).

The diaper features a patented front-opening pocket with a flap to keep it put.

To stuff that pocket, the Oh Katy comes with two inserts. The larger one is a full-size adjustable insert and the smaller is a newborn insert which can dual as a doubler.

The adjustable insert has two columns of snaps with three length settings so you can make the insert longer or shorter as necessary to fit inside the one-size diaper without sticking out.

One final, highly unique feature of the Oh Katy cloth diaper is its ability to roll up and snap shut once soiled. This wrap 'n' snap feature keeps messes securely inside and is convenient for cloth diapering when on the go. No need for a wet bag!

Now for the Little Mister's test run. The Oh Katy diaper fit perfectly around the Little Mister's waist and legs, even though he is a skinny boy. It also had the perfect rise on the second rise setting.

The diaper withstood my trio of tests–#1 and #2, nap, and overnight–successfully without any leaks.

Overall, I really like this cloth diaper! It did a great job on my Little Mister's bum and it's so cute! The Chocolate color was adorable. I love the features that the diaper offers. It is definitely a diaper I would recommend to my friends.
