{Friday’s Fancies} Red + Pink

It’s been a long time since I participated in a Friday’s Fancies fashion link-up hosted by Long Distance Loving. But I love to participate when I have time to because it’s great for honing my creativity and matching skills.

Since yesterday was Valentine’s Day, this week’s theme is Red + Pink. Here’s what I came up with on Polyvore:

This Western-inspired ensemble features elegant red accents and flirty pink focuses. I love the dress–it has a beautiful pink skirt with a  lacy overlay. Since it’s still winter (and very much snowing where I live), I selected a black cape to add warmth with a romantic, formal touch. I also chose a pair of short, white, cowgirl boots to kick it my style (which is country) while at the same time keeping toes warm. Some other elements include a gorgeous heart ring, some conversation heart earrings, a super cute love necklace, and a very appropriate Coach handbag.
