- Each entry must be accomplished exactly as it is stated, including providing anything in the "Extra Info" field, for it to count.
- You can perform each entry type ONE TIME ONLY unless otherwise specified.
- If there is a "leave a comment" entry type, be sure the name you type in the comment's name field is EXACTLY the same as the name you use in the form (this is so I can verify your comment).
- Make sure to leave a VALID email address in the Rafflecopter's email field so I can contact you if you win (or ensure your Facebook account's primary email address is one I can contact you by).
- If you already follow/like me or the company via G+, Google Friend Connect, Twitter, Facebook, etc., that's okay–the entries still count.
About 8 months ago, upon checking my email one day, I had a message from some dude named Greg. The email was all about becoming a beta tester for a new way to run giveaways called Rafflecopter. This email had perfect timing–I had just finished doing an exhausting drawing for a giveaway I had run using the comment-entry system (where entrants leave a comment for every entry action they did and say something like "I liked the sponsor on Facebook"). It had taken me just over an hour to draw a winner for this giveaway once I had sifted through several cheaters. So, when Greg proposed I become a beta tester for Rafflecopter, I jumped at the opportunity.
In its beginning, Rafflecopter had it's problems. It was definitely in beta mode and, in certain cases, caused more trouble than it solved. It didn't work on every single computer in its roots, so I would get several emails from entrants saying it wouldn't show up for them. Which meant I had to figure out a different way for them to enter. And as a result, Greg got a couple of my frustrated complaints–to which he graciously responded and calmed me down! It was great that he cared enough to listen to my rants and that he always replied in a very timely fashion.
Although I experienced my share of frustrated moments with Rafflecopter's beta mode, I chose to stick it out in anticipation of better days. And those better days not only came, but they came quickly! Rafflecopter was on top of every single problem and corrected them remarkably quickly.
In its current state, Rafflecopter is nigh perfect in my eyes. I love EVERY aspect of it–from how to set up the entries to how to perform the entries. Plus, it has given me something completely invaluable. It has cut the time taken to draw giveaway winners from at least half an hour down to no more than 5 minutes (often less). Which means that I can spend more time with my husband and my sons, and that means more than the world to me!
Plus, Rafflecopter, to be honest, has totally spoiled me! If I am going to enter a giveaway on another blog, it better have a Rafflecopter form because if it doesn't, 99% of the time I won't enter!
If you are a blogger who runs giveaways on your website and you do not use Rafflecopter, I recommend it 120%. It is available to everyone now, and it is completely free. Plus, it increases the entries you receive in giveaways because it's easy to use, which makes not only your entrants happier, but your sponsors also.
