Anson Belt & Buckle Review

Affiliate Disclosure

anson logoFrank Ferree and his son David Ferree founded the Anson Belt & Buckle Company together in 2010. The inspiration for the business came when Frank fell in love with a no-holes ratchet-style belt he had purchased while in Asia with his daughter. Unlike belts with holes that are always either just too snug or just to loose, this ratchet belt fit him perfectly.

With the desire to purchase more of these great belts, Frank and his friends and family searched high and low for a local, American source. Unable to find any, Frank and his son David began manufacturing them themselves.

The gift box came beautifully packaged. Here's the view when the lid was removed. The items were neatly wrapped with tissue paper and a fancy, old-fashioned wax seal with Anson's logo secured it shut.

The belts were inside some lovely silk drawstring bags and the extra buckle in a small gift box.

Here are the belts and the third buckle all unwrapped. My husband selected the Classic Buckle in Silver, the Traditional Buckle in Gunmetal, and the Traditional Buckle in Silver. For the belts, he chose the Black Faux Crocodile Strap, and the Dark Brown Leather Strap.

Here are the belts together. Since these belts are made to fit anyone of any size, they were too long for my hubby's waist. So I measured them around his waist and cut them to the appropriate size. Easy peasy!

Here's a close up of one of the buckle. The latch to release it is circled in blue.

Here is the back of the belt. You can see all the different lengths the belt can be adjusted. Unlike the 1-inch gap that separates the holes in a regular belt, the Anson belts have 1/4-inch lengths, ensuring a more perfect fit.

Something really neat about these belts is that the buckle is interchangeable. To change the buckle, there's a metal piece on the back that unclasps. Then the buckle slides right off, ready for the next buckle to easily be slipped on and snapped in place.

The belts look great on the Mister. They look very sharp, especially since there aren't any stretched or worn out holes!

These belts are awesome! My husband loves how easy they are to use and how well they fit him. They’re perfect for every man of every profession.

I like the tradition buckle in gold for my hubbie with the light brown leather strap – I think he would really really like this paring! And he needs a new belt too!

I like the ONTX buckle. It not as traditional as the classic ones and this would look very sharp on the belts.

For some reason I have always been a sucker for gold, so I’d have to go with the traditional buckle in gold. There’s just something classy about gold.
