{Friday’s Fancies} Treat Time

Affiliate Disclosure

This week’s Friday’s Fancies’ theme is Treat Time, which means a summery outfit that revolves around a favorite summertime treat.

If you are unfamiliar with Friday’s Fancies, it’s a really neat blog hop hosted by Alison of Long Distance Loving. Each week, Alison comes up with a theme and other bloggers put together a fashion ensemble surrounding that theme. I really like participating because it hones my creativity and matching skills–plus, it’s just really fun!

Neapolitan

.

This fun summer ensemble centers around a really neat neapolitan (pink, brown, and white–you know, like the strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla ice cream!) dress that I discovered on ModCloth. To accent the outfit are ice cream  earrings, bracelet, and necklace. I selected a brown handbag and matching brown shoes because they remind me of chocolate–plus they each have holes which are reminiscent of an ice cream cone! To complete the outfit is some pink lipstick, pink fingernail polish, and a palette of pink and brown blush which can duel as eye shadow.

I remember partaking of this Friday’s Fancies last year, too. Same theme, only then it was dubbed “Favorite Summer Treat.” My outfit surrounded my favorite summertime fruit back then–watermelon! Check out that Friday’s Fancies post here.

If you can read this text, oop! It’s meant to be filler so the post reaches 300 words. I’m still in the process of potty training the Little Mister, but he’s not completely there as far as making it to the potty, lol! He still has accidents. He’ll scream “Potty!” AS he’s peeing his underwear, lol. And he’s had a couple poo-poo oopses too! But for the vast majority of the time, he’s doing really well. I can tell he’s trying so it’s not like he’s being lazy. Love my sweet little man! <3 He’s the best.

Love the dress you picked out! It would be super fun to host an ice cream sundae party and then wear that dress.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog– I am so excited to have discovered yours! First, I love the color scheme you went with for this post– I always forget how much I love pink and brown together. Second, I just read your post about better tasting quinoa and cannot wait to try it out! Hope you had a great weekend!
