Straight Talk is a convenient, inexpensive wireless phone service provided by TracPhone and available exclusively at Walmart. They are able to provide inexpensive phone service because, since they are sold through Walmart, there’s no special cell phone store to upkeep.
Straight Talk works by partnering with existing national wireless networks to provide service with zero contracts. They offer all the same phones as contract carriers including brands like Samsung, LG, Windows, and Apple. They have their service available in more zip codes than any other wireless carrier and phone calls reach over 300 million Americans.
Straight Talk’s “All You Need” package costs a mere $30 per month and provides you with 1,000 minutes, 1,000 text or multimedia messages, 30 MB of data transfer, and free 411 calls. Their unlimited package only costs $45 per month for unlimited talk, text, data, and free 411 calls.
Every Saturday during the month of September, 2013, Straight Talk is holding short, 1-minute-long demonstrations about their wireless service at Walmart. For each person that attends this demo, $1 will be donated to Make-A-Wish (their goal is to reach $1,000,000). In case you’re unfamiliar with Make-A-Wish, it is a foundation that grants “wishes” to children diagnosed with terminal illnesses such as cancer. Wishes already granted in the past have ranged from meeting real ballerinas and having an army-themed fort to designing a car for GM and giving back to other children in need.
What You Can Do
Simply visit Walmart on any Saturday during September, 2013, and participate in a 1-minute Straight Talk demo. That’s it–Give A Minute, Help Make-A-Wish! Forspending that one minute to learn about Straight Talk, Straight Talk will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish. Visit THIS PAGE to find a participating Walmart.
If perchance you don’t live near a participating Walmart (like me), don’t worry, you can help too! Simply share the video on Straight Talk Wish and $1 per person per day will be donated to Make-A-Wish up to $100,000 of the $1,000,000 goal.
